Alice to the Cheshire Cat: âWould you please tell me which way I should go from here?â
The Cat replies: âThat depends largely on where you want to go.â
Alice says: âI donât really care whereâŚâ
The Cat: âThen it doesnât matter which way you go.â

We know our destination:
- God wants to spread His glory through people on this earth.
- He has given us the command to go into the world and make disciples.
- Cell groups are a wonderful way to make disciples and achieve Godâs goals.
- The goal of cell groups is cell division.
Cell division is teamwork with God
(1 Cor 3:6)6 My role was to plant the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it; but it was God ânot usâwho made it grow.
(1 Cor 3:9)9 So then we are Godâs fellow workers; you are Godâs field, Godâs building.
- Growth through cell division is a miracle worked by God
- We also have a part in this. Paul planted and Apollos watered.

Image: Imagine a farmer who goes out to the field in the spring and says:
âI hope God gives me a good harvest,â but he doesnât sow any seeds, doesnât water, and doesnât prepare the soil.
- Would we say: That is faith?
- Or rather: Is that negligence?
A wise farmer who wants to see fruit
- sets a concrete goal,
- creates a clear plan of action,
- removes obstacles,
- works to meet all the necessary conditions so that fruit can grow,
- andtrusts in God to grant growth.
